Ok. I am trying to finish up my Super Cheif train, circa 1963, how many 4-4-2 and 6-6-2s did this have? Can someone give me an idea how the consist went? I lost a book I had on the Santa Fe trains. Thank you
ATSF lightweight Budd lunch counter-diner (1948) (depiction of center tables is erroneous, picture on postcard of same car shows booths instead of the center two tables)(edited)
Note: a 1941 Santa Fe Super Chief and Chief brochure (http://streamlinermemories.info/SF/SF41ChiefSuperChief.pdf) mentions that "Inasmuch as the Super Chief and Chief are both superb extra fare streamliners, for first-class travel only, their accommodations and services are almost identical. Hence these natural color photographs and brief descriptions apply equally to either train" this strongly implies that that most cars were almost identical, which by extension implies that the interior colors of the Chief 17-1 sleeper, 8-2-2 sleeper, 4-4-2 sleeper, and 4-1 observation were the same as the interior colors used in the Super Chief versions of these sleepers.

NOTE: interior schemes that are mentioned are light green walls, rust colored carpet and upholstery and offwhite ceiling, the other scheme would be that but with light blue walls; these paint schemes likely only applied to the ATSF, UP, and SP cars of this order(edited)
